म र मलाई

We need to talk

Nah, the stars didn’t come in my dreams,
I was just hopeful that the moon didn’t distract ’em.
Was so lost in twinkle,
The moon couldn’t feel the same.

Is the ocean really too big,
Or is it my heart,
that is so small
That was for occasional catch of breath

And I was just deluded and dull.
I was too busy counting droplets,
Couldn’t see the enormity.
Tides had caused enough rust,

Had I not been in senses,
I would be in the path of deformity.
Ropes were thrown around,
Were to be held onto.

Good times are left behind,
Better times are still left.

Your howls went wasted firmly,
You never realized I was still deaf.
Drums did open, howls became cheers,
Within my own limits, though the stress is still sheer.

Ponder around it, make Nietzsche proud.
